This is one of my ‘spontanious poems’. I had been looking through my computer and found quite a few old poems that I had been meaning to post.
Here is one of my favorites:
It is wintertime and the snowflakes have begun to fall
We’re missing autumn and summertime the sun and wind and it all
We know how the earth spins and time takes her pass
But even though it all it seems to go so fast
Where did the summer days go when we were young and carefree
Laughing and running and playing, just you and me?
What about autumn walking through the cool crisp woods
Crunching leaves beneath our feet, the world just as it should?
Soon spring will come to show us all the colours and the sights and smells
We will welcome the warmth, watching the white snow melt
And when summer comes again and we’re dancing in the brook
We’re glad the time has passed, no matter how long it took.
Another good one may be:
We know that magic can be found
in the highest mountains, or deep underground
Sometimes magic is where you want it to be
like on dry land or in the rushing sea
But magic isn’t the land where fairies reside
but something is there, deep inside
It isn’t hiding in a dusty, dark nook
its right there, you just need to look
So take a deep breath, open your eyes
your heart is where the magic lies
Both are older poems, but I enjoyed writing them, and I hope you enjoyed reading them.
